IBC Attendees Enthusiastically Connected with TVU’s Transformative Workflows.

In the category of Environment and Sustainability, the partners were recognized for avoiding more than 600 tons of CO2 emissions by adopting a glass-to-glass cloud workflow to produce and distribute live coverage 10 hours a day during this summer’s nine-week torch relay across France, achieving more than 50 million views.
Yoni Tayar, VP of Global Marketing at TVU, stated: “It takes a deep partnership with a customer bold enough to challenge the status quo to accomplish broadcast storytelling in a truly new and sustainable way. The 100% cloud workflow developed between TVU, Obvios, and TDF was what many called ‘impossible’, but France Télévisions believed in it from the start. This project showed that green, low-cost, high-quality broadcast is possible. Our planet needs the industry to embrace this type of sustainability.”
TVU’s end-to-end solutions, from acquisition to playout, offer broadcasters the flexibility and agility to experiment without risk, unlocking new creative possibilities. By enabling broadcasters to test and innovate with no upfront infrastructure costs, TVU is helping its customers generate more engaging content while also driving increased viewership.
During a presentation by France Télévisions on day two of IBC, hundreds of show attendees gathered at the TVU booth to be inspired by the unique workflow of the torch relay as well as BBC’s first-of-its-kind broadcast of election counting utilizing 369 simultaneous live feeds across the UK. Both projects highlight how TVU solutions enable creative freedom, sustainability and operational efficiency – helping broadcasters save money while being environmentally responsible.
This IBC was the European premier of TVU’s MediaHub cloud routing solution, a critical component of both case studies. MediaHub was awarded “Best of Show” from TVB Europe and received the IABM’s BaM Award for the “Connect” stage of the content supply chain. IBC attendees were also the first in Europe to see TVU’s virtual NOC, a monitoring layer of the TVU ecosystem, which empowers broadcasters with complete operational control of their cloud workflow.
Broadcasters from around the world kept the TVU stand packed throughout the trade show, discussing opportunities to leverage TVU’s SaaS solutions to create more content and engage more audiences without increasing costs. “The conversations during IBC demonstrated that customers want to transform their media supply chains to increase viewership and experiment freely without increasing costs,” said Paul Shen, CEO of TVU Networks. “Our solutions not only streamline the entire workflow but also provide the tools for broadcasters to produce compelling content that resonates with today’s rapidly evolving audience.”
