Cupertino, November 15, 2024 – Shanghai Media Group (SMG) successfully concluded its comprehensive coverage of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), leveraging its long-standing partnership with TVU Networks to deliver seamless multi-platform broadcasting across Dragon TV, Shanghai News Channel, KNews digital media, ShanghaiEye international broadcasting matrix, and the Kandongfang mobile app.

For the seventh consecutive year, TVU Networks supported SMG’s coverage through its flagship TVU One mobile transmitter system. The system’s ISX transmission technology effectively managed the exhibition’s challenging environment, where dense crowds and variable signal conditions necessitated the aggregation of multiple 5G/4G signals into stable uplink channels.

The broadcasting infrastructure achieved exceptional performance through HEVC intelligent variable bitrate encoding and forward error correction technology, delivering near-zero latency transmission with minimal packet loss. This technical foundation supported SMG’s multimedia center in coordinating 19 field reporters who conducted 75 live connections across the exhibition’s various zones, including national pavilions, corporate exhibitions, and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.

SMG’s coverage emphasized technological innovation, focusing on frontier industries, industrial intelligence, and sustainable development initiatives. This editorial approach aligned with the organization’s strategic balance of television and digital presence while maintaining its mobile-first philosophy.

“The successful implementation of TVU Networks’ broadcasting solutions at CIIE 2024 demonstrates the evolution of our partnership with SMG,” said Paul Shen, CEO at TVU Networks. “Our technology enabled SMG to deliver synchronized, high-quality content across all media platforms, providing global audiences with comprehensive access to this significant trade event.”

The collaboration between SMG and TVU Networks exemplifies the successful integration of advanced broadcasting technology with professional journalism. As CIIE continues to establish itself as China’s premier import expo and a crucial platform for international trade, this partnership sets new standards for technical excellence in global media communication.
